What to do when your dog is too hot.

Is your dog too hot? Well not for long! Here are some ways to keep your dog as cool as a cucumber:
*Try pointing a fan at him. That may help :)
* Give him some water! Dogs will dehydrate if you don't!
* Don't walk him for too long! He may burn his paws or just be too hot.
* Give him some space. He probably just wants to be left alone.
HOPE THIS HELPED! Oh and this may sound weird but DOGS CAN DIE IN HOT CARS SO DONT LEAVE THEM IN THERE!

Dogs trust

I think that things like dogs trust are great! They really help the dog world, and they are working to the day when dogs can live happily without being abandoned or mistreated. Also, you can re home or sponsor a dog from there. Thats great, because these dogs can have happier lives. Some dogs are really scared and timid when they arrive at dogs trust, and they leave being happy and tame. Dogs trust do some great things and I hope they keep it up!! If you live near any of the re homing centres in UK or Ireland then please go down and have a look. You could even bring a donation! So if you arent allowed to have your own dog sponsor one because you can visit them too! So please think about rehoming a dog

Crufts

Hi there!! Ok so I was just randomly thinking about crufts. I don't know if I think its fair or not because there is a lot on in-breeding that goes on there, however it is a fantastic experience to visit, because it is just about dogs. Also, I would LOVE to take part in the competitions. last year I drew a picture of a dog, and it got showcased at crufts!! It was really cool to see there! It had my name on it too! Ok so back to crufts. Do you think its good idea?? Please comment your answers!

Hi, today I am going to be doing a little about the border terrier. Fun feisty, and always ready to play! They are pretty much perfect for every family. They are very cute and cuddly, but make sure you think about one of these dogs because they are prone to hip dyspepsia. Mine had it and it was awful. He then dislocated he knee. But anyway. They are really fun little dogs, who live well alone but would probable prefer a doggy companion to play with. They are much like the Norfolk terrier. They are great for young and old people alike, and they are really affectionate. Borders seem to be quite frightened of things like Hoovers, wind and fireworks. They are very small dogs, however they are not handbag dogs, but they can be picked up and carried.

what my dog thinks of the KONG

KONGS are a great idea! They are like a little rubber toy with a hole in one end. You can put treats in there! The dog has to try and work out what to do with it, and how to get it out! Sometimes it can take your'e dog up to an hour to get the food out. It keeps them really quiet. Even without treats, they make GREAT toys, because they bounce and they roll. You can throw them really far and they basically indestructible!

The Labrador retriever.

OK, so today I wanted to tell you a little bit about the lab. Having one of my own is great because I can tell you even more things about them! They are really fun loyal dogs who love food! Labs can be a bit of a handful when they're pups, but don't worry all that hard work does pay off! They are great family dogs, and they love children. What they love even more then children is swimming, long walks and food. They were originally bred to fetch birds when they were shot by their owners. You can get them in four different colours, black, gold, chocolate and silver. Having a lab is great, because sometimes they tell you when they are ready for their meals. Mine barks when its 3o'clock because its time for her tea. Also, she scratches at the door when she wants to come in and out, so she doesn't have to wait outside. My dogs!

I think need to introduce the reasons for this blog. Ruby and Otto, my two dogs. Ruby is an 8 year old chocolate lab, who at the minute is going a bit crazy because its time for her walk! I also have Otto, a three year old border terrier! Poor little thing, he had a new knee last month. He had hip dyspepsia, a common thing in dogs, mainly in bigger ones. He had a new hip when he was just 6 months!
